Finally having a chance to finish the series I came to love, I love the way it all ended.1. Plot. With a plot that is fierce and fill of action, I could not hold back. I let myself fall into the story and enjoyed it immensely.2. Sarcasm Yes. There is lots and lots of sarcasm that had me laughing and snickering so much. For intence:“Okay, everyone all together now: What happens when things start going right? The shit hits the fan. You are correct, sir.”Or who can forget this line:“I jabbed Reyn in then chest, almost breaking my finger. “And make your dog quite climbing ladders,” I hissed. “It’s weird!”3. Love. Their love had lots of up and downs from the very first book to this one. Needless to day, I enjoyed watching them overcome fear and their past together. They both face great danger together, bringing out the best in each other. No insta-love. Just a real love making it work.4. Fear. I know this may sounds odd but fear kept these characters back alot. It also brought new elements to the story since the characters could not move one from their past. Their fear fueled them to change to finally have something they always wanted.5. HEA. Yup, it had a happy ever after and I’m proud to say that I loved it. It was so awesome to see all the characters fight and be happy in the end. After all is said and done, I loved it! It thrilled me to the core, bringing me into the story. Fashioned with a great plot and moving characters, Eternally Yours is awesome!

I'd give this closer to a 4.5. Actually, most of the book was a 5 stars all the way! but, the ending just didn't do it for me in a 'sum up the series' kind of way. (Maybe I'm just resentful that its ending).

I loved this series. Nasty is just so... relatable, and biotchy, and funny. And the other characters are well developed... It's refreshing. It's a very novel approach to the whole 'immortal' concept, blending in rich historical fiction throughout.

Post Reading: Oh Reyn, I already miss you! Best male lead in a book series in a LONG time!

Pre-Release: If I had a TARDIS, I would totally pop into the future to pick this book up!!! The wait will not be easy!

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie TalesQuick & Dirty: Our favorite narrator is back and snarky as ever in this tense, romantic, and war-torn conclusion to a great series.Opening Sentence: ”Vali! Vali! Where is that girl?”The Review:For the final installment in the Immortal Beloved series, we finally get an epic immortal battle. Nas, we learned in Eternally Yours is the heir to the extinct Icelandic House of immortals, which puts her in danger from more than just Innocencio. With her evil best friend in the equivalent of an immortal asylum, new enemies are revealed. We finally learn who’s been working behind the scenes, who manipulated Incy, and why they’re so fixed on Nastasya.Someone, or a group of someones, is attacking the immortal houses. These dark immortals are trying to steal the magick from the most powerful of their kind, but as we learned in Darkness Falls, you have to kill them to get it. When River’s overprotective brothers begin to show up to protect their sister from Nastasya, everyone realizes the haven of River’s Edge won’t be safe for long. River still trusts Nas, but her brothers begin to follow and pick at her every move, searching for some hint of a threat. Nas is at the center of this dark plot somehow, and they’re determined to find her guilty.Even with these dark forces bent on finding her, Nas still has her own problems to come to terms with. Trusting anyone becomes almost impossible when they learn that a resident at River’s Edge is using dark magic to expose Nas. While her relationship with Reyn has finally worked through the anger and animosity of the first two books, they aren’t always sunshine and roses. I loved the moments with Reyn and his puppy, when Reyn and Nas fought about her safety, and watching them slowly circle each other until they finally—finally—grow together. It’s one of the most satisfying YA relationships I’ve read in a long time. If you’re a Reyn fan, you won’t be disappointed! My favorite part was watching Nas work herself into the town of West Lowing. Since she no longer works at the drug store, she takes up a new project: renovating the building across the street. Watching her interact with the townspeople, pretending to be a teenager, lightened the mood and helped ground Nas’s character growth. And, of course, she’s pretty hilarious doing it. We get a lot of new characters in River’s Edge, and see a lot of our favorites from the first two books. It’s always sad to end a good series, but I’m REALLY sad I won’t get to read more of this narrator! I miss her voice already. And swoony Reyn, my favorite Viking God. They totally deserve their happily ever after (which believe me, is hard won) but I want more! Then again, there’s nothing worse than an author writing your favorite series into the ground. Very, very happy to find that Tiernan delivered with Eternally Yours. We get all out plotlines wrapped up in a nice bow and a solid ending to a trilogy.Notable Scene:“Are you the girl that’s doing this, like, for a school project?”“Kind of,” I said.“Well, it is just so cool,” the young woman said. “And man—I swear, the day I admitted we finally had to go on food stamps—that was the day Alan came home and said he had a job.”“Ah,” I said, sensing my first twinges of alarm.“It was like God’s hand, reaching down to help us up.”Oh no. “Oh, good,” I said weakly, aware of Anne’s eyes on me.“Well, bless you,” she said, heading for the door. “I’m going to remember you in my prayers, you can be sure of that.”“Oh, okay. Thanks.”Then, mercifully, she was gone, and I let out a breath.“It’s so hard,” Anne said, and I turned to her, grateful she knew how I felt. “Being Saint Nastasya.”FTC Advisory: Little, Brown/Hachette provided me with a copy of Eternally Yours. No goody bags, sponsorships, “material connections,” or bribes were exchanged for my review.

I saw that this book had mixed reviews and I have to say I don't get why. I was pulled into the store of Nastasya from the very beginning. The storyline is unique, the twists and turns are complex. There is an extensive cast of characters, but I was able to follow their stories easily. Plus, the love interest that she has in Reyn was very sweet and a bit steamy - though still fine for young readers. Cate Teirnan is a writer I enjoy reading time and time again.
