I was raised in an Italian Catholic familyMy purpose for writing this book was to inform the many people, my family members included, about the deception that the Roman Catholic Church has perpetrated since 300 ad. I noticed this deception when I was in a Roman Catholic Seminary. I started to read the Bible, a Catholic Bible that I bought in the bookstore, and found discrepancies between what was in the Bible and what I was being taught in the classroom. A simple example was why the Roman Catholic Churches had statues and idols in them when that contradicted the Bible. First I was admonished for reading the Bible and second I was told that I had to put my faith in the Roman Catholic Church and not the Bible. This of course didn't seem right.I was to put my faith in an organization run by humans instead of God's Word the Bible. ( We hadn't gotten to the Infallibility part of the classroom training yet). It didn't take me long to leave the seminary but at that point I wasn't ready to leave the "religion".I was very active in the Roman church when I returned home. I joined the Knights of Columbus, I was an usher, a bingo caller, a money counter, and worked in the rectory office part time and I coached CYO sports. I think I was running away from the fact that I should leave the Roman Catholic Church. One day I received a call from a cousin who wanted to know if I could get him an appointment with the Bishop. He needed an annulment for his future wife because she had been married before. I knew the Bishop and his secretary because they came from my parish and I was able to get him the appointment. When I called him to find out how the meeting went he was very upset. He had not seen the Bishop but was told by the secretary that the Bishop said he could have the annulment and it would only cost himweniger sehen
