He completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency at the Baylor College of Medicine. He currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of PM&R at ECU's Brody School of Medicine and also serves as staff physiatrist at the Greenville Healthcare Center branch of the Durham VA Medical Center.
