After moving from the Washington DC area to be closer to my parents. I had just arrived in Texas and a short three months later I was found to have a brain tumor. My brain has been operated on four times. After the surgeries and a lot of rehabilitation I was instructed to keep my mind occupied.
After the surgeries, I was left 100% disabled and not able to work. A walker aids simple walking. The surgeries left me without balance. I have double vision so I dont drive. I also use an eye-patch in order to see one image otherwise I see two of everything. Small kids are heard to say to their parents look a girl pirate! I have what they call emotional liability. These are uncontrolled emotional manifestations in the form of crying that I cannot control. We could be talking about grass growing and the next thing I am crying with tears streaming from my eyes. I can now feel when one is on its way and at least warn the person I am talking to. The only positive note about having one is they dont last long. These things are most inconvenient.
I was placed in a medical induced come for about six weeks in which they inserted a ventilator/breathing tube. My voice was damaged when they removed the breathing tube from my throat, it was determined that my vocal chords had wrapped themselves around the breathing tube and were subsequently damaged when the tube was removed. Although I can speak, my voice sounds like Im a 10-pack a day smoker. When I get tired, it sounds like I am speaking with a mouthful of marbles.
I hope you enjoy the story but please remember this is a work of fiction.weniger sehen
