I graduated from Howard High School within eleven years, at the age of seventeen. I joined the United States Women’s Army Corps at age eighteen, with a two-year commitment. I worked for the Federal Service Government for several years. I received my associate of arts, bachelor of science degree in psychology, and my teaching certification in special education grades K-12 from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
I taught special education in the public schools for over ten years and also taught children Sunday, Bible, and vacation school for many years for the church.
