He is a former US Air Force noncommissioned officer. After serving in the military for twelve years, he decided to discharge to pursue his dreams and finish his college education. He and his family currently live in Greer, South Carolina. His wife, Katina D. Jones, of seventeen years is a licensed clinical practice therapist.
