As an adult, she worked in the apparel textiles as director of product development and resident artist until the textile manufacturers in the Southeast closed their doors in late 1999. After working as a hospice volunteer for more than twenty years, she assumed the position of director of bereavement and hospice volunteers in Martinsville, Virginia. Later she went to Greensboro, North Carolina, and worked as an officer in the Department of Human Resources for Guilford County Government.
She is now retired and lives in Bassett, Virginia.weniger sehen
