He had his schooling and graduation from Alipurduar and post-graduation from North Bengal University. He loves to read and walk along the paths through the woods, listening to the occasional chirping and the murmuring sound of the meandering streams. He is the author of Lawrence and the Contemporary Thinkers: A Study in Correspondence (2015, Lambert Academic Publishing) and The Subaltern Speaks: An Adventure in Thought with Mahasweta’s Fiction on Tribal Life (Forthcoming, Orient Blackswan).
