She accomplished her dream of becoming a teacher and taught Primary School for 35 years until she had a series of strokes. Little did she know that this would lead to a diagnosis of Early Onset Dementia when she was only 58. Teaching became impossible so Vicki became a Dementia Advocate. She has delivered many speeches, written numerous newspaper articles and done radio interviews to help people become familiar with Dementia and to encourage those diagnosed to live life to the best of their capabilities. Vicki has represented regional NSW at an Australian Alzheimer's Summit at Parliament House in Canberra and has just been nominated to carry the Queen's Baton for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.weniger sehen
