Pitt-Goines was reared in a very structural Christian home where she was taught to accept and live by the doctrines, principles, and teachings of Jesus. Her love and her passion for God compelled her to offer to God an open-ended, undefined yes to God’s will and purpose for her life. The theme of her life has always been “God’s woman—that’s what I want to be. God living inside of me joyfully for all the world to see.”
Sharis is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where she received a bachelor of arts in sociology. She later graduated from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia, where she received a master of arts in Christian education and a master of divinity. Her field of study is psychology of religion, pastoral care, and counseling. She traveled to Jamaica for ten weeks and served as the assistant pastor in one of the local community churches while completing an internship. She also completed her clinical pastoral training while serving as a chaplain for one of the local hospitals in the community where she presently resides.weniger sehen
