After she graduated from high school, she joined the ROTC program and earned her nursing degree from Gonzaga University and Washington State University before commissioning into the Army. She started her career working as a medical/surgical/pediatric nurse and found she was drawn to pediatrics and emergency medicine. Megan then deployed to Iraq for 15 months and worked in the emergency department with the 86th Combat Support Hospital. Megan continues to work as an emergency nurse in pediatrics, and with soldiers and their families in Washington State. A mother of 2, Megan wrote this book for her children and for all the children of soldiers around the globe, so they may find comfort when the military takes their parents or themselves on a new “adventure.”weniger sehen
