At the age of ten, I found out that he wrote poetry and that is where I figured I would place all of my pent up energy. At the age of 10 I had my first poem published in an anthology. After that I entered a few competitions but never followed through, I just wanted real critiques. Throughout the years, from 10 to now (age 29) I wrote through the pain, happiness, and love. I wrote through the depression of feeling like I just did not belong, that I wasn’t pretty enough, skinny enough; not enough. I am finally in a place in my life where I would like to see my words help others growing up; give them a place to seek refuge and let them know that if they just hold on things will get better. Born in Newark, NJ, raised in Waldorf, MD. I am currently in the military, stationed at Fort Hood in Texas. I have a handsome, intelligent, energetic son and he is my motivation to be the best version of myself that I can be. My family has and will always be there for me. So many times, I wanted to give up, but I held on and it did get better.weniger sehen
