She is the author of Dueling Picket Fences, a Suspense Mystery, and currently writes for a local newspaper. For four years, Mrs. Gurr wrote a regular column, A Deacons Wife Reflects and Remembers, with the magazine, Deacon Digest. Other interests include watercolor painting, calligraphy, singing, reading and enjoying long walks with lovely evening sunsets.
