RELIGIOUS LIFE
The author is a born-again Christian who made a personal commitment and rededication to Christ in his early teenage years while in High School. Africa is a rich place where the gospel is both zealously preached and lived by Christians. This was the case for Magnus as he was blessed to be born into a Christian family. He was raised by biblical doctrines and principles and he managed with God’s help to live every single one of them out in his daily walk with God. He attended the All Saints Church situated in Kissy Road, Freetown S/L. He joined the choir of All Saints Parish in 1993 while he was finishing primary school and served faithfully in that choir as an Alto singer for a period of twelve years before his departure to Australia. While in high school (Albert Academy), Magnus associated with the School’s Scripture Union Group and made a personal commitment to follow and live for Jesus. Going to university (FBC), he joined the Christian Campus Fellowship – Bible Study Union (BSU) where he had a good time with both God and his fellow believers and was part of the zealous team of students that revolutionised the campus with the redeeming gospel message of Salvation to their non-Christian colleagues. He became passionate with God’s call not only to live as a redeemed person but to communicate it to others as Christ instructed in the Great Commission (Matt.28:16). Coming to Australia, he continued his spiritual walk with God as Christ is always everywhere on this earth and we must endeavour to live to the expectation no matter the geographical location. Magnus continued fellowshipping in the Anglican Communion first at St. Andrew’s Lakemba and later proceeded to the St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Sydney from 2005 till this day as a partner and ardent Christian worshipper. This is where he and his family worship on Sundays.
As the church is one foundation and we are all united in the same call as Christ’s body on earth, he affiliates with other ministries as well. Magnus alongside the Cathedral of St. Andrew’s, affiliates with Anointed Truth and Life Ministries Inc at Mt. Druitt Sydney, headed by Pastor Matthew Dabo. He affiliates with The Gospel Faith Mission International headed by Pastor Theophilus Ajadi at Bankstown. Lastly, he affiliates with Hope School Evangelistic Ministries in Sydney where Pastor Gerald James serves as the overseer.
