In addition to writing, he is a filmmaker and social entrepreneur. His company Johnson Enterprises LLC focuses on developing socially active companies. Mr. Johnson has been involved in a variety of community organizations including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, The League of Women Voters, and the YMCA of Greater St. Louis. His first feature lengh film Ayiti!, a film on the best and brightest in Haiti is is currently in production. His short film Shabbat Zachor was included in the Whitaker Foundation St. Louis Filmmaker Showcase in 2012. His writings appear on Open Salon.com, and his been a contributing writer to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, and The St. Louis American Newspapers.
