She and her brother were evacuated to Rochester, New York in September 1939, when it looked as though Hitler was going to occupy Great Britain. They returned to England May8th, 1944. The war ended May 8th 1945! They moved several places in England during that last year of World War II for safety from the Buzz-Bombs. She married a Chief in the U.S. Navy. In 1966 when he retired they, and their three sons, came to his home town, Etowah, Tennessee. To Gloria living in Tennessee is as close to heaven as you can get on earth. The family belongs to North Etowah Baptist Church.weniger sehen
