Indigo has many interests, including belly dancing, cake decorating, hang gliding, traveling, and anything adventurous. She is living her dream as a writer!
Indigo first developed her love of writing in the fourth grade, thanks to a wonderful teacher's encouragement. This was followed by additional encouragement from several teachers in junior high and high school, where she was a writer and editor for the school newspaper and a member of the Young Writer's Workshop. She began her college studies in Journalism, but quickly realized that her heart was in creative writing and the freedom of expression and style that comes with it. For most of her life, she has written journals, short stories, poetry, and song lyrics. Unfortunately, many of her writings were lost when her family home was destroyed in an F-4 tornado.
Indigo Skye's children's books and special coloring book all have messages of LOVE & ACCEPTANCE. She believes that in order to create a better future for all, we need to start with the children. It is important for them to learn about diversity, friendship, self-acceptance, and tolerance of others - even if they may not see eye-to-eye on everything.weniger sehen
