It may seem a little more glamorous once you know that it's also known as the Little Hollywood of the Philippines. After she moved to Australia, her kids only knew a little of their cultural heritage and barely spoke a word of Tagalog (the base language of Filipino). So, after they grew up she wrote a series of books that would pique their curiosity, tell them about the characters of her native folklore and give them an insight into more about Filipino culture than just food and dance.weniger sehen
