Prior to Barnard, she taught in two New England schools and at Bryn Mawr College. Born in Massachusetts in 1924, Professor Cross graduated magna cum laude from Smith College and took her advanced degrees at Yale and Radcliffe. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was married to Robert Cross, Professor of History who was President-elect of Hunter College, and the couple had two children. Barbara M. Cross died on June 14, 1967, aged 43.weniger sehen
