Upon the death of both his parents, he moved to Kingston, where he attended school. He subsequently joined the Jamaica Military Band. He won a scholarship to the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall, England, 1965-1968, to study music, and on his return to Jamaica, became Bandmaster/Director of Music of the Jamaica Defence Force, where he served until 1995, when he retired at the Rank of Major.weniger sehen
