The excess credit was earned flying with flight and mission leaders, a prime target for enemy fire. His time in the army earned him true and everlasting friendships. A native and life-long resident of Mansfield, Ohio, William spent most of his professional life as a loan officer (nearly 40 years all told). He was happily married for over 30 years. A proud father of five sons; this book was written due to the gentle persistence of his eldest son.
