He was born in 1905 to Fred Eugene Gantz (1882-1952) and Hallie D. Stock Gantz (1882-1937). He published his thesis on the beginnings of Darwinian ethics in 1939 and is the author of Man in Space: The United States Air Force Program for Developing the Spacecraft Crew, which was published in 1959. He also edited the 1958 anthology, The United States Air Force Report on the Ballistic Missile. His Near Future science-fiction novel, Not in Solitude, which was first published in 1959 and revised in 1961, fictionalizes a first voyage to Mars. Gantz died in 1996 and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington County, Virginia.weniger sehen
