James Scheuer Wallerstein (1910-1990) was a biochemist and president of the Sarah S. Ollesheimer Fund, a college scholarship foundation in Mount Kisco, New York.

He joined the foundation, which was established in 1924 in honor of his aunt, in the early 1940s.
In the 1950s, he was a brewmaster for the Wallerstein Company Laboratories, which processed malts and hops for beer making. The company was sold in the 1950s, at which point Mr. Wallerstein turned to writing children’s plays and books for young adults.
His published books include Over the Hills: Four Plays for Youth (1959), The Cactus Wildcat: A One-Act Rip-Roaring Western Comedy for Children (1954) and Tommy and Julie (1952).
He died at his home in Mount Kisco, New York on June 28, 1990 at the age of 79.weniger sehen
