He began his career in his native England, moved to Los Angeles in 1979, and then settled in New York in 1988. He has worked for the world's most creative agencies and rose to Creative Director level by the age of twenty-six and to Chief Creative Officer by the time he was thirty. He has won all the important advertising industry awards including London's Design & Art Directors Association, New York One Show Gold, New York Art Directors Club, Effie's for advertising effectiveness, Clio Awards, and Cannes Film Festival Silver and Bronze Lions.
