She started her career as a disc jockey at KZSU Stanford and worked for Polygram Records and Music Annex Recording Studios in the San Francisco Bay Area. She sang back up on one punk record and her acting/movie debut was in Can't Stop the Music -The Village People Movie (don't blink - you might miss her).
