She is an assistant editor at Newsday in Melville, New York, and she lives in Amityville, New York, not too far from her girls. Deborah Cuneo, a mother of three and former elementary school art teacher, has been a freelance illustrator for over twenty-five years. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the Long Island Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and the Children’s Book Illustrator Group of New York.
