I have been married to my Filipino wife Mercy for 22 years and we have a 14 year old son Sean. I also have two grown up sons, Paddy and Kieren, from a previous marriage.
I have taught in Ghana, Gilbert & Ellice Islands and the Philippines, although most of my teaching career has been in England.
Mercy, Sean and I have visited many countries around the world and love to travel. We have lived in the Philippines for about 7 years in total and Mercy has land in S.Leyte and a house in Cebu.
Before Sean was born we lived on her land in Leyte for a year while her father and I designed and did most of the construction work on a family house. I was fascinated to be a part of barrio life in what I call the 'Real Philippines,' and decided to write my Paspasco stories based on many of my experiences at this time. So many foreigners and their children never really see this side of Filipino life. While living in Cebu for 4 years we travelled to many regions in the Philippines.
Having retired I am happy to say that I do not have enough time to do everything that I want to do. I divide my time between my family and writing, reading, walking and developing new graphic and computing skills. Publishing ebooks has been an ambition for some time. At present I am completing two more ebooks with Filipino characters in them and hope to convert a fantasy novel I wrote 18 years ago into epub format.weniger sehen
