In her pursuit of inner peace and better health, she explored the link between healthy eating and happiness – two cornerstones of good health. Her interests led her to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition, from Edith Cowan University, and a Master of Health Promotion, from Curtin University, in Perth, Australia, where she lives.
Having been inspired by her studies, experiences, and the wisdom and lives of others, Nyomi started her website extrahappiness.com. Inspiration for Tough Times is a compilation of some of the articles from her website, along with bonus chapters that are the ideal guide for people at various stages of their lives.
Nyomi has written health articles for various leading health organizations, including the National Heart Foundation of Australia (Western Australian Division), Curtin University and CalorieKing Australia. She has been quoted in health and happiness articles published in the Australian teen girls’ magazine Girlfriend, and the Australian women’s lifestyle magazine Cleo.
Nyomi is also passionate about helping people through her public speaking. Her professional knowledge, experience and empathy have led her to become and an in-demand public speaker. She has spoken to community groups, students, professionals and others, for the National Heart Foundation of Australia (Western Australian Division), the Amanda Young Foundation, and the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom.
