His first entrepreneurial venture, at age 14, was bottling his own brand of lighter fluid during a shortage. Since that time he has started 15 businesses, as well as having had a successful corporate career as an electro-mechanical project engineer, and manufacturing-process engineer.He has been issued 13 patents on devices as different as a bicycle transmission to replace the derailleur, a probing device for integrated circuits, and laparoscopic surgical instruments.
