He grew up on a peach farm in Blount County Alabama. He spent his free time trot-line fishing on the river, playing ball and church on Sunday mornings. Terry saw many changes during his life-time like electricity come into his home town, telephones being added with the 8 party line, television and the many changes that have come to the south over the years. He and his wife Barbara of 52 years still reside in Alabama.
