He has been an Economic Affairs Officer at the Office of Policy and Programme Coordination of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa, a visiting scholar to the Research Departments of the International Monetary Fund and to the World Bank in Washington DC. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and has been a post-doctoral research fellow at the Research Centre on Economics, Finance and Administration (CREFA) at the University Laval (Canada).
