My mom is a fan of the ever so popular Mary Higgins Clark. She also enjoyed watching Murder She Wrote, Columbo, and McMillan and Wife, back in the day. So she didn't mind that I was exploring classic and modern mysteries while growing up in a small town in New Jersey. Of course I dabbled into Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. But a lot of my inspiration came from reading and watching modern mysteries, as well. Mystery authors whose works I have read, and grown to appreciate, are Sister Carol Anne O’Marie, Jill Churchill, Ann Waldron, Elizabeth Peters, Pamela Thomas-Graham, and the mastermind who created a post-life for Sherlock Holmes, Laurie R. King.
However, no homage to mysteries would be complete without mentioning the Thin Man series, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, and Diagnosis Murder. Also, let’s not forget Midsomer Murders, Rosemary and Thyme, the Inspector Lynley series, and the now primetime shows Monk and Psych.weniger sehen
