By the time he graduated high school in 1950 dramatic changes in the scale and economics of farming were taking place. Shortly following graduation he left for the nearest large urban community to find work. In time he entered college and earned a PhD in Geophysics from Pennsylvania State University. Devoting his career to research and research administration he authored or co-authored numerous technical papers, gaining international recognition for his contributions. Through the years he maintained ties to the community in which he grew up and to friends that he made in Mountain Home School.weniger sehen
