He then received a Ph.D. in business economics from Cornell University, writing a thesis introducing new theory and contradicting a few conventional beliefs that have been since shown false by others as well. His industrial career taught a great deal about science and technology, but only tangentially related to this book. He is not a member of any political or religious organization.
