Her research seeks to achieve socially and environmentally just development in cities in the global south. In 2016, she was awarded a prestigious Philip Leverhulme Prize.
She holds postgraduate degrees from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain), Wageningen University (Netherlands) and an engineering doctorate in the UK (University of Surrey). Prior to joining UCL, she was involved in post-doctoral research at Durham University which examined the processes of social and technological innovation within the city in response to climate change.weniger sehen
