Illustrating Charlotte's Birthday Surprise Ann Kronheimer was born in London and studied fine art at Hornsey School of Art. Before becoming a successful illustrator, she held odd jobs that included gardening and working in a movie theater. Now she spends her days drawing in her studio, overlooking a garden of her own.
