He has a number of papers in reputed journals to his credit with the collaboration of international researchers. He has been working on various aspects of ecology of migrant shorebirds especially on foraging behaviour based on ideal free distribution and optimal foraging theory for the past several years.
Dr. P K Prasadan, a teacher by profession, did his PhD and postdoc in zoology. He is the founder, course director of the Department of Zoology of Kannur University. He has more than a dozen research papers in peer-reviewed international journals, apart from various other publications in national journals and contributions to various national and international seminars and conferences. He has completed two externally funded research projects and is now working on a major research project in the area of ecological parasitology. He had served Kannur University as the director of Wayanad Campus, chairman of doctoral committee, member of PG and UG Boards of Studies, Academic Council, Research Council and first coordinator of the PhD course work programme in zoology. His areas of interest include ecological parasitology, helminthology, and biodiversity.weniger sehen
