She grew up in this small coastal town in Northern California and currently resides there in a home by the beach with her two children, Tiara-Chanelle and Johnathan, and her Grandpa John. Kapua, the dog in the story, inspired the author to write books about him because people have been afraid of this breed of dog for many years. As a friendly pit bull, Kapua has proven to everyone in Montara, California, and San Mateo County that dogs of this breed and nature can really make a big turnaround with proper training and love, turning out to be a stellar and fine animal.
Ahna writes short stories for children and has been recognized for showing her passion, commitment, love, and compassion for children and adults with severe developmental disabilities. Ahna has shown Kapua to many of her disabled clients, using him as a form of therapy and communication, and he has taught many people how to love and respect animals. She feels that everyone needs love, and animals need and deserve love and a proper home environment and community to live in.
Ahna loves to devote her time to the community and to help others in need. She spends her time working with various populations of people in San Mateo County, helping them with diet, exercise and prolonging their health and wellness. When she is not writing, she spends her spare time working and focusing on her own fitness, health, and wellness, sharing special moments with family and friends, and working with several individuals who have severe behavioral disorders. Her biggest passion is to make a difference in the lives of others who do not have the potential and opportunity to live a normal, independent lifestyle. She gives her clients opportunities to be a major part of their local communities.
Ahna has had a passion for writing for many years and was encouraged by her grandfather, John M. Bali, to write children’s literature that is fun and focuses on subjects that are positive and inspiring. Her future plans are to keep producing children’s literature and to finish her post-graduate studies in psychology, organizational leadership, and behavioral studies. Ahna has an important saying, “Ohana First,” which in Hawaiian culture means “Family First.” Therefore, nothing comes before her family and sharing those special moments. Building a lifetime of memories means everything to her heart, mind, body, and soul. Stay tuned because Kapua has more journeys, and they will be exciting, fun, and adventurous. The author is adventurous, inspiring, fun, and dreams big. She is qualified to let kids truly see that if we dream big, we can do and have anything that we want.weniger sehen
