A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Notre Dame and graduate of Indiana University Medical School Dr. Price founded Cornea Research Foundation of America in 1988 as a 501c-3 entity committed to (1) world-class research; (2) innovation; (3) service to humanity; and (4) education of fellow physicians and patients. It houses the largest cornea transplant database in the Western Hemisphere with over 4,000 documented. His published 10 year survival rate for full-thickness corneal transplants equals or exceeds any other center in the world.

In 2005 the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology named him Ophthalmologist of the Year “…for efforts on behalf of the professional practice organization and eye care that have been exemplary and deserve recognition.”
