At school, they called her "The Swot" because they'd find her in the library reading the Oxford English Dictionary. Along with her interest in the written word, she's always liked science and techy stuff. As a reader, she'll go for science fiction and techno-thrillers and the big "Why are we here?" themes. She writes a mix of fantasy and sci-fi, her faves being Urban Fantasy and grounded sci-fi. She loves travelling and food, other cultures, cinema, music and museums and city architecture.
