Lisa Evans was trained as an actor at the Guildhall School of Speech and Drama after which she worked in radio, stage and TV in Britain and the USA before becoming a playwright. She has written over 30 produced plays, several of which have won awards. She has been Resident Writer for Theatre Centre, Temba Theatre Co. and Associate Writer for Theatre by the Lake Keswick. She was the recipient of the Writers Guild Award 2011 for Best Play for Children and Young People for The Day The Waters Came.
