She lives in the southern United States, where she rides dressage at the fourth level and shoots target archery using both recurves and horsebows. She counts Sarah Waters, Maggie Estep, and the Bronte sisters--Acton, Currer, and Ellis--among her literary influences.
THE NEWS IN SMALL TOWNS, the first novel in the Small Town series, was a Next Generation India Award finalist in both Mystery and Regional Fiction. The second, MADNESS IN SMALL TOWNS, was also an Indie finalist in Mystery. SECRETS IN SMALL TOWNS was a Goldie finalist in Lesbian Mystery as well as a Next Generation Indie finalist in the LGBT category. These, and the short story collection, MYSTERIES IN SMALL TOWNS, are available in both e-book and paperback formats.
Moreau is also the author of THE XYZ MYSTERIES--a series of novellas and short stories set in Miami in 1974. They feature the sister detectives Xande, Yolande, and Zoe Calhoun. Some of these stories can be found on this site.
