I was raised reading reading Dickens and Austen, and watched Masterpiece Theater every Sunday night with my parents. My girlhood crushes included Davy Jones and Jack Wild. I named my cat Aloysius, after Lord Sebastian Flyte‘s teddy bear in BRIDESHEAD REVISITED.
I recently published my first novel, MR. DARCY‘S PURSUIT. I began PURSUIT as a challenge – to see if I could write a whole novel, start to finish (I have started writing plenty of books, but it was the finishing that tripped me up every time). I decided to write a romance, specifically a book based on the classic Jane Austen masterpiece, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. It was an arduous task at times as I tried to stay true not only to Miss Austen’s great work, but to also to explore these beautiful characters set on a different path, in a different place. I hope you enjoy reading MR. DARCY’S PURSUIT as much as I enjoyed writing it.weniger sehen
